How to get rid of the FFOA

Hi there -

I'm trying to remove the FFOA and have the file start at absolute 00 or 01, but it current starts at 00:00:09:00.

Any thoughts on how I change the FFOA? Neither the Conversion Tool nor the Renderer will allow me to do so.

Thanks

Perfect! Thank you so much!

Hi Beth,   You can't set the FFoA to be before the start time of the file.   You'll need to create, open and run an .xml file in the Conversion Tool to set the start time before or equal to the desired FFoA.

For example if your file started at 01:00:00:00 and you wanted to change it 00:00:00:00 you'd save something like the below as an .xml file and open in the conversion tool and change the FFoA in the UI.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<stitch>
    <config>
        <framerate>24</framerate>
    </config>
    <sources>
        <source>
        <!--original start 01:00::00
            original end 01:20:00:00
            original duration 00:20:00:00
            operation:
                Changes the outputStart to 00:00:00:00—>
            <path>/yourfile.atmos</path>
            <sourceStart>01:00:00:00</sourceStart>
            <outputStart>00:00:00:00</outputStart>
            <outputEnd>00:00:20:00</outputEnd>
        </source>
    </sources>
    <!--Finished file duration is 00:20:00:00-->
</stitch>

There are addition examples here:   https://developerkb.dolby.com/support/solutions/articles/16000103176-where-can-i-find-more-examples-of-pmstitch-xml-files-

Hope this helps.
